The Islamic World media representatives participating in the International Economic Forum “Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum” visited Tatarstan’s top industrial enterprises, including KAMAZ.
The delegates came fr om Pakistan, India, Bahrain, Algeria, Egypt, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan. The visit was part of the forum “Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum”, which is taking place in Kazan these days. It focused on showing the industrial potential of KAMAZ as one of the key enterprises in the region, as well as business matchmaking.
The excursion program began with a tour of the Visitor Center. Opened less than a year ago, the center has since become a place of attraction for guests of KAMAZ and Naberezhnye Chelny, a bright spot on the map of industrial tourism in Tatarstan. In this space, the guests were introduced to the key milestones of the company's development through a demonstration of the iconic KAMAZ vehicles, interactive installations and video materials. The members of the delegation were told about the company's role in the country's economy, the development of production, the company's labor dynasties and much more.
At the Research and Development Center, the guests managed to see modern KAMAZ vehicles – a wide range of high–tech vehicles of the new K5 generation, a KAMAZ electric bus and other models demonstrating the company's capabilities in manufacturing vehicles for various sectors of the Russian economy.
The final point of the excursion route was a visit to NP KAMAZ-Avtosport, where the KAMAZ-master team is headquartered. Founded in 1988, the KAMAZ racing team will turn 38 in July. This is the only team gathered by the plant in Russia that successfully represents the country in world motorsport, is a nineteen-time winner of the Dakar Super Marathon and deservedly tops the world ranking of automobile teams. The unique team develops, designs, assembles racing trucks and competes on them.
“I’ve repeatedly seen KAMAZ vehicles at international forums and rally raids, and I had a dream to visit the company. We are glad to see how technologies are developing, and day by day KAMAZ is raising its level and its popularity in the global space. We’ve learned a lot about the company today. It is a great honor for me to visit this wonderful place,” Ishtiaq Hamdani, a correspondent of the Pakistani television PTV News, chief editor of the Pakistani-Russian Sada-e-Rus portal, shared his impressions. “I’d also like to note the great work of KAMAZ in launching electric buses. Environmental problems are being discussed all over the world today, but few people offer solutions. Russia, together with KAMAZ, has created an electric bus that preserves our nature.”
“I didn’t really know anything about this company before. The first thing that I loved is the whole exhibition. This place is so beautiful. I’ve attended multiple exhibitions or presentations before, but this one is very love made, it looks like an artwork. The lighting, the slides… How you present the information was amazing. And the other thing that I loved is that five generations have been building this company, which is something that I really admire. To see the continuation as sustainability of a project and to see multiple generations working on this just shows that these people work from their hearts. I feel that these people are really working toward something, toward the projects, toward an idea. Sometimes when you go to other companies you just don’t feel it, but here it feels like a family. I really loved it,” noted the guest from Algeria, founder and content maker of the DZDiplomat platform Houssam Eddine Berkane.
