27 May 2025

KAMAZ is taking part in the International Exhibition of Commercial Vehicles and Technologies CTT Expo 2025 & COMVEX 2025 taking place on May 27-30 in Moscow. This year, among the exhibits, the company presents a wide range of high-performance vehicles of the latest generation K5.

A total of 20 exhibits, both of KAMAZ's own production and jointly developed with KAMAZ partners, manufacturers of special equipment, and joint ventures, took their places in the pavilion and as part of the outdoor exhibition. There are models from the KAMAZ family of dump trucks, including the Atlant 65, a novelty in the line of passenger vehicles – the KAMAZ-4280-F5 Vega bus, trailers, semi-trailers and other vehicles from a wide range of the leading Russian automaker. A significant share of the exhibits was rightfully occupied by the latest generation K5 vehicles. These innovative vehicles have been developed using digital technology tools and set new standards for efficiency, reliability and comfort.

At the exhibition, KAMAZ demonstrates K5 trucks for various purposes in demand on the Russian market, which are currently being produced on a new sanctions-resistant component base, with improved technical characteristics and consumer properties. A special place at the company's stand was occupied by the latest generation K5 KAMAZ-65951 dump truck (8x4). The truck was created using the most modern solutions and surpasses the best world analogues in a number of indicators.

The vehicle is designed for the transportation of bulk construction, industrial, household and other goods suitable for unloading by overturning the body. The updated cabin with a four-point spring suspension provides increased driver comfort. A multimedia system with a 10-inch touchscreen display is installed, and there is a multi-steering wheel. The dump truck is equipped with a modern, economical KAMAZ R6 engine with a capacity of 482 hp and a 16-speed manual transmission. A special feature of the new generation KAMAZ K5 dump truck is the reinforced frame and drive axles designed for an axial load of 16 tonnes. The vehicle is equipped with a dump truck body with a volume of 25 cubic meters, has four axles – two controlled and two driving ones. Load capacity is up to 30.7 tonnes, gross weight is 50 tonnes.

In addition, the company introduced the KAMAZ-65952 (6x6) all-wheel drive dump truck, also from the K5 line of heavy trucks. Due to the reinforced axles and frame, the dump truck has an increased load capacity (23.5 tonnes), while the total weight of the vehicle is 41 tonnes. The truck is equipped with a 482 hp KAMAZ R6 six-cylinder inline engine and a 16-speed manual transmission. Highly efficient vehicles are designed to operate off-road. The dump truck was created on a sanctions-resistant component base, using modern high-tech design solutions, which allows it to be operated at large infrastructure facilities in the construction sector, in mining and sand pits. Among the features of the model are impressive ground clearance, a metal three–section front bumper and all-wheel drive. The volume of the dump truck platform is 20 cubic meters, the bottom of the body is made of high–strength steel. The new cabin fully complies with modern safety and comfort standards. Like all representatives of the latest K5 model range, the dump truck is equipped with a multifunctional steering wheel and an on-board information system with a 10-inch touchscreen display.

At the CTT Expo, KAMAZ also presented gas-powered vehicles of the latest generation K5. In particular, the KAMAZ-54901 LNG tractor truck was presented at the exhibition in conjunction with the TZA 16.5 m curtain semi-trailer. The KAMAZ–54901 LNG (meets the requirements of ADR, the Agreement on the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road) is a gas-powered version of the well-known flagship of the K5 generation, which has gained consumer confidence in a short period of time. In this modification, the vehicle with the index 54901 is equipped with a KAMAZ R6 (Euro-5) gas engine with a capacity of 460 hp, an automated gearbox and two cryotanks holding 1,060 liters of liquefied natural gas. The use of LNG significantly reduces the owner's fuel costs with a power reserve of up to 1,600 km on one charge, which makes this modification of the truck one of the most efficient for business.

In addition to the exhibits on display in the pavilion, KAMAZ demonstrated nine more models of vehicles outdoors. Among them is a KAMAZ–65659 (6x2) tractor truck with a power take-off box in coupling with a NEFAZ-9509 semi-trailer. The road train is based on another representative of the latest generation K5. The KAMAZ–65659 is a three–axle version of the popular KAMAZ-54901 tractor. A special feature of this vehicle is the presence of an additional lifting axle, which increases the total weight of the train to 44 tonnes without violating the law in the field of weight limitation. Like the flagship KAMAZ-54901, this truck is equipped with a wide cabin with a flat floor, a 482 hp engine, an automated gearbox and is designed to work with various semi-trailers with a height of 1,150-1,170 mm.

Special vehicles created on the basis of new generation K5 vehicles in partnership with leading Russian factories, which were also presented at the exhibition, should be noted separately. Among the demonstrated models is the KDM 700AK combined road vehicle based on the new generation KAMAZ-6595 dump truck, launched in the second half of 2024. The vehicles are manufactured by KAMAZ's partner, Merkator Holding, a manufacturer of special equipment. The vehicle is designed for year-round maintenance of federal highways and regional roads. The powerful engine allows for high-speed snow removal without significantly reducing the speed of car traffic. The KAMAZ-6595 (6x4) dump truck, representing the latest generation of K5, served as the base for the creation of special equipment. The vehicle is equipped with an economical KAMAZ P6 engine with a capacity of 482 hp and a 16-speed manual transmission, reinforced drive axles with a permissible load of 16 tonnes each. The volume of the platform is 20 cubic meters, the load capacity is 24 tonnes. The 500-liter fuel tank ensures continuous operation of the equipment on the planned route. At the request of the customer, the vehicle can be equipped with both a liquid reagent dispenser and facilities for summer maintenance.

Today, about 100 manufacturers of special equipment cooperate with the company. More than 30 basic models of the KAMAZ chassis are widely used in the production of special vehicles for many sectors of the economy. The partners are particularly interested in the latest generation K5 chassis due to their high technical characteristics and consumer properties.
